The Malaysia-International Fashion Week (M-IFW) made parenthood fashionable at it's opening, yesterday.
Sexy mothers, handsome dads and adorable kids took to the stage.
Celebrities such as actress Vanidah Imran, actress/host Daphne Iking, host AC Mizal and rock star Amy Search took to the catwalk with their kids to cheers from the audience.
Some of the kids were naturals, some were shy and had to be coaxed onto the catwalk but there was no denying the innocent charm of it all.
Model Amber Chia who has just become a mother, also took to the catwalk with Zu Jian Wong, the son of Malaysian International Fashion Alliance (Mifa) ceo Syeba Yip. (Mifa is the organiser of M-IFW.)
Yup, the opening of M-IFW went beyond chic clothes and champagne at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, the event’s official venue.
Instead, there were cute smiles moves and quirky movements from the kids of famous people.
There was also a fashion show featuring children’s clothes collections by Poney and Guess.
Featuring children on stage was in line with Mifa's Fashion Gives Back Charity Children’s Fashion Showcase.
Later that evening, there was a fashion show showcasing the jewellery of Tiffany and Co, bags from Klutched and the clothes designs of Tom Abang Saufi, Michael Ong and Jendela.
M-IFW is a full week of fashion theatre, culminating on Nov 6 with the Mifa Gala.
