Actress-model Rachel Tan Weng Kim is set for two weddings.
The Seremban-born beauty will say her 'I dos' at Malibu in Los Angeles this September and again in Kuala Lumpur sometime between December and next January.
Tan, 29, met her American-born Chinese fiancé Dan Mark, 30, at a church gathering in Hong Kong while he was on a mission trip.
Sparks flew immediately and the long-distance relationship that ensued was kept alive with phone calls, SMSes, e-mails, Facebook and Skype, Tan told The Star.
"The LA wedding will be held for Dan's side of the family while the KL wedding will be held for mine," she explained.
Mark, an entertainment lawyer for Warner Brothers' in Los Angeles, proposed last week after just seven months into their relationship.
"It was a Romeo & Juliet themed proposal. He left a trail of roses that led all the way from the entrance to the balcony at his bachelor pad in LA. When I got there, it was lit with candles and flowers and he proposed with a ring on one bended knee."
"I was in tears by then and of course, I said yes. We went to our favourite French restaurant afterwards and celebrated with champagne."
The couple will celebrate their honeymoon in Rome and the Vatican City after their wedding ceremonies.
"Dan is everything I've asked God for. On top of that, he is also my emotional and spiritual guide and my best friend. Plus, I find him so good looking!"
Tan, who holds a masters degree in law from Cambridge University, currently works at a law firm in Hong Kong but will be moving to LA to live with Mark.
Tan first gained fame when she won the Miss Chinese International pageant in Hong Kong in 2003.
She also starred in the popular local Chinese sitcom Homecoming on Astro in 2003 and landed a two-year contract with Jackie Chan International artiste management in 2007.
