Must-have eyeliner

Maybelline HyperSharp Liner, at $19.90 from Watsons and Guardian outlets, selected depart- ment stores and major hypermarts and supermarkets.

IN THE world of eyeliner, perhaps no one does it better than Maybelline.

The brand's Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner is a favourite with beauty junkies everywhere. Now, the brand has put out a fabulous new liner from the same Eye Studio range - its HyperSharp Liner.

The beauty in this liner lies in its calligraphy-inspired brush, which tapers to 0.05mm at the very tip. So, expect ultra- exact, ultra-thin lines to be created with ease. Talk about total control.

With this little tool, you're able to experiment with what's known as "eyeliner art".

Drawing its inspiration from calligraphy, henna, mehndi and various forms of body art, eyeliner art means adding curls, swirls and even floral flourishes to the corners of your eyes.

Maybelline's team of make-up artists will be at Cineleisure today (5pm to 8pm), tomorrow (4pm to 8pm) and on Sunday (12pm to 4pm), so head there if you want to learn more about eyeliner art.

Must-have new hair-care range

Redken Nature's Rescue (above), from $39 at leading retailers and salons. Call 1800-838-3388 for a list of retailers.

Redken has just introduced Nature's Rescue, which lives up to that promise. The products are infused with plant and marine extracts that remove impurities while helping to nourish hair.

Formulas with water-fresh fragrances, cooling sensations and ocean-inspired textures provide the perfect balance of moisture for those who want a product for gentle daily use.

Try the Refreshing Detox Shampoo ($39), with aloe vera and soy protein, or the Refining Sea Polish ($50), which helps to remove impurities and refine the hair's surface.

THE Dove brand goes spa-like with its range of Go Fresh body washes. Packed with moisturising ingredients, the body washes smell like heaven and wash like a dream.

If you've tried the small bottles, go large: Bottles of 1 litre cost $10.70.
