Looks like Pottermania has struck close to home for British author J.K. Rowling, 46.
The 46-year-old, who wrote the wildly popular Harry Potter series, has submitted plans to her local city council for permission to start work on a real-life Hogwarts playground for her children at her £2 million (S$3.9 million) 17th-century mansion in Edinburgh.
David, nine, and Mackenzie, seven, her children with anaesthetist hubby Neil Murray, will each get their own £150,000, 12m-high, two-storey treehouses.
According to drawings on the city council's website, the towers will be linked by a rope bridge and are accessible via a secret tunnel beneath a walkway.
David's tower will also feature a trapdoor and fireman's pole, while Mackenzie's will have a spiral staircase and a stainless steel playground.
