Be Our Valentine
Even though they weren't Paul Foster's final Valentine on the day of love, the remaining women all received hugs - and compliments - from their dream date.
Miss Hanisah Ismail, a 24-year-old shipping coordinator, who also caught Foster's eye, was overjoyed when he asked her to keep in touch through Twitter.
Foster told The New Paper: "I like Hanisah, she's so cool.
"She speaks well, she's a very attractive girl and I loved it that she was making conversation with every girl at the table."
Said Miss Hanisah: "Paul's such a nice guy. There was no awkwardness at all. He'll be really nice to date."
Miss Kavitha Palaniappan, whom Foster thought was the most "naturally pretty", had to be let go of. The 24-year-old management trainee - who lives in Johor Baru but works here - had told him that she had "trust issues" when it came to men.
Both Miss Hanisah and Miss Palaniappan revealed that they've never had a boyfriend, which surprised Foster.
He said: "Kavitha is incredibly beautiful. But I have dated girls before who felt that they couldn't trust me, and that didn't work out."
Making friends
He pegged Miss Hailey Loh, a 33-year-old trader, as a party pal whom he would love to hang out with.
He said: "She's so much fun to be around. I felt like we could talk about anything.
"I'll definitely be seeing her around because we found out that we hang out at the same nightspots."
With her bubbly personality, Miss Loh had a good time making friends with everyone at the table, including Miss Priscilla Su.
Miss Su, 22, is on holiday in Singapore on a break from her studies in Australia. A mischievous friend had sent in an entry on herbehalf.
She said: "I'm very glad I came for this. I had a wonderful time, and I found out Paul is definitely boyfriend material."
Last but not least was Reader's Choice winner Rehanah Bee, a 22-year-old call-centre agent. She posted the link to TNP's website on her Facebook page so that her 500 friends could help vote for her.
Said Foster: "All the girls here are beautiful and just sweethearts. I could see myself taking them out on dates at different points of my life if I were younger."
