ACTRESS Jennifer Aniston, starring in the upcoming film Marley & Me, is Hollywood’s golden girl these days.

After all, Marley – based on a best-selling book and which also stars actor Owen Wilson – has grossed over US$140 million (S$211 million) since its opening in the United States on Christmas Day last year.

Aniston, 40, who went through a divorce from Brad Pitt in 2005, is even laying that past to rest. Pitt is now with actress Angelina Jolie.

Aniston and singer John Mayer, 31, have an on-off relationship.Though the tabloids often paint her as a woman scorned, she says not to feel sorry for her.

"This whole ‘Poor lonely Jen' thing, this idea that I’m so unlucky in love? I actually feel I've been unbelievably lucky in love," she said in a Vogue interview recently.

“I’m right where I’m supposed to be.”

Marley & Me opens in cinemas on Feb 26.
