US - The stork has finally arrived for Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas.

The US singer, 38, and her actor-husband Josh Duhamel, 40, welcomed their first baby, son Axl Jack Duhamel, on Thursday.

Their spokesman told People magazine that Fergie gave birth to little Axl, who weighed in at 3.46kg, via C-section at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

Fergie and Duhamel, who married in 2009, have said in previous interviews that they've been trying to have a baby for a while.

Speaking to E! News earlier this year, Fergie said: "He's going to be an amazing father. I'm so blessed. I'm on top of the world. Me and my baby are on top of the world."
