It seems like there is no lack of love for newly single Aaron Kwok.
The Hong Kong heavenly king, 47, who ended his seven-year relationship with Chinese actress Lynn Hung in May, was linked to rising starlets shortly after.
The Cantopop singer was first rumoured to be dating Taiwanese-Canadian actress Christine Kuo, 30, who is based in Hong Kong.
She met Kwok during his music video shoot and had been alleged by Hong Kong media to be the third party responsible for breaking up Kwok and Lynn's relationship.
More recently, Kwok has been romantically linked to Chinese model Anna Kay, 24, who was spotted by Hong Kong paparazzi visiting his apartment several times in the past few months.
Last week, the model allegedly spent the entire day at Kwok's home and the couple had to call the police at night to shoo loitering paparazzi away from the lobby of his apartment block.
On another occasion in late July, Kay was spotted going to Kwok's apartment when she was in Hong Kong for work, and spent Friday night there, re-emerging from the building only on Saturday evening. Kay is based in China.
Adding fuel to the fire, the media reported that Kay's relationship with Kwok was purely physical, and that there was no love involved.
In a recent exclusive interview with a Hong Kong magazine, Kay defended their relationship, saying: "I personally cannot accept purely physical relationships without love. I have to ensure that the other party loves me as well.
"We are not going public with this because we want to remain low-profile, but we are serious about each other."
The young model did not mention Kwok's name specifically in her replies, and only used "he" to refer to her boyfriend.
Respect decision
She elaborated: "He does not like to talk about his relationship openly, so I will respect his decision on whether he wants to announce our romance."
When asked about her frequent visits to Kwok's apartment in Tai Hung in Hong Kong, she claimed that she was merely visiting a good friend who lives in the building.
Though she has avoided answering the question of whether her "good friend" is Kwok and if they are indeed dating, she said in the same interview: "I am in a stable, happy relationship now. We have been dating for six months."
"I knew him through a friend. We have common interests such as car racing, so we hang out from time to time. It was probably love at first sight.
"I am sure he was single when I started going out with him. I am not the third party."
Kay also does not think much of the 23-year age gap between the two.
"Love can trump our age gap. I have always preferred more mature men, and he knows how to coax me and surprise me with presents."
She also sang praises of him, saying: "His body is very good, and he put up an amazing performance on stage. He is stable and funny, and he loves his family and his other half."
Kay reveals that her mysterious boyfriend has given her a diamond ring, hinting that they may get married soon.
She said: "My career has just taken flight, so it might not happen that fast but I am hoping it can be within the next two years. I will respect my boyfriend's decision. As he is more low-profile, we might hold a vacation wedding instead."
Kwok declined to comment on the rumours regarding the couple when questioned in a promotional event in Shanghai, China, earlier this week.
He said: "For me, career comes first. I don't want to waste my time thinking about other ridiculous reports.
"I know the rules of the entertainment industry, and I choose to remain low-profile. I repeat: I do not want to answer anything not related to my work."
