The IWA will also be hosting one of its iconic events, the IWA Indian Affaire 2013, on Oct 28. It will feature a fashion show and a champagne brunch. The event is held every two years and all proceeds go to charity.
This year the IWA has chosen to donate the money to the National Heritage Board (NHB), which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, said Mrs Lahiri.
She said: "The NHB has been doing stellar work in preserving old buildings and the heritage of Singapore. This is our way of supporting them and continuing with our theme of integration through the year, which began with supporting the tabla! and Tamil Murasu Integration Night event and also presenting the Ekta Integration Award to ambassador K. Kesavapany."
At the last event, the IWA donated the money to the Make A Wish foundation. This was used to fulfil a bedridden boy's wish to see the world standing up by building him a contraption to which he could be strapped.
This year's event will feature four Indian designers - Kavita Bhartia, Kiran Uttam Ghosh, Namrata Joshipura and Rajesh Pratap Singh. It will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel from 10.45am.
