Malls turn into catwalks

This weekend, department store Robinsons is turning the aisles of its Centrepoint branch into a catwalk.

The Robinsons Spring Fling will present the latest looks from over 40 brands twice each day on the second floor.

Catch the spring collection at 2.30pm tomorrow from international labels such as Britain's Coast and Spain's Trucco (above). Indonesian batik brand Alleira Spring, which is carried exclusively at Robinsons, goes on show at 4pm.

On Sunday, local labels like Ying & Yang and Eden will go on the catwalk at 2.30pm, followed by a group of Raffles Design Institute students who will turn bedlinen into womenswear at 4pm.

There are also workshops. Tomorrow at 3.30pm, a panel of fashion experts will show you how to take your outfit from day to night. At the same time on Sunday, you can learn how to wear the season's latest trends.

Meanwhile, VivoCity launches its Fashion Showcase next weekend when labels Liz Claiborne (April 4, 2pm), River Island (April 4, 4pm), SK Jewellery (April 4, 7pm), Utopia (April 5, 2pm) and Tangs (April 5, 5pm) will take centrestage.

However, you can start enjoying fashion deals from today. Those who spend at least $50 accumulated in a maximum of two same-day receipts will get a pair of tickets to the Fashion Showcase.

You will also get a $20 voucher when you spend at least $200 at American label Bebe (01-120) and enjoy discounts of up to 70 per cent at British casual brand Lonsdale (02-21). Promotions are on till April 19.
