Her bumpy road

JOLIN Tsai has constantly been plagued by controversy. A recurring topic is the speculation that she went under the knife to sharpen her round, chubby face and increase her bustline to a whopping G-cup.

However, reporters noted at a Taiwanese media event this month that her chest has now shrunk to a moderate B-cup and attributed it to her weight loss.

Career

The music video for her new song Real Man was very similar to an ad English model Agyness Deyn did.

Earlier this month, Jolin postponed three campus performances in Taiwan due to a back injury. But there were rumours that the real reason was because her previous four campus performances had poorer than expected album sales.

She was criticised for translating the Chinese phrase 'pi tui' as 'have the third person', in her book Jolin's English Diary.

It was later pointed out the correct translation should have been 'being a two-timer' or 'player'.

In 2001, she was reportedly placed in 'cold storage' because of problems with her record company Universal Music.

Romance

Her love life is just as colourful.

Jolin was rumoured to have dated singer-songwriter Jay Chou in 2003, but they broke up two years later after Jay reportedly cheated on her with Taiwanese host Patty Hou.

Nevertheless, there was still the occasional gossip in 2005 that Jolin and Jay had patched up.

These days though, Jolin is linked romantically to singer cum host ShowLuo. Both claim to be just good friends.
