Claim to fame: Urban’s trusted make-up pro who has a diploma in biotechnology. His work has also appeared in glossies such as L’Officiel and Elle.

He did the make-up for models at Louis Vuitton Asia’s spring/summer 2009 regional press presentation held in Singapore last December. He has also worked with Swedish supermodel Marcus Schenkenberg and home-grown actress-singer Celest Chong.

My signature make-up style is... playing with textures and finishes to create unexpected looks such as a glossy eye instead of the usual smoky eye, or a metallic silver lip instead of a matte red lip.

My greatest achievement is... being able to work with regular people and transforming them with make-up. My purpose is to show that everybody – not just celebrities and models – can harness the power of make-up.

My three beauty faves are...

• Shu Uemura Painting Liner, $34, a gel eyeliner that gives an intense colour and glides onto the eyelids easily.
• Its black is the blackest black I’ve ever used.
• M.A.C Studio Sculpt Foundation, $51, a liquid foundation which works well on all skin types and gives a velvety finish.
• Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray, $47, a hydrating facial mist which can be used to rehydrate skin before make-up and also afterwards to set the make-up.
