LOS ANGELES: Katie Holmes is set to launch her highly anticipated fashion line next month, Marie Claire reported online yesterday.

Holmes (also known as Mrs Tom Cruise) will debut the line, called Holmes & Yang, to the press next month.

Whispers of a style venture started last year, when Holmes, 30, walked the red carpet at the United States premiere of the movie Tropic Thunder. She wore a midnight-blue strapless dress she had designed with stylist Jeanne Yang.

The two paired up again this year to create a satin jumpsuit for Holmes’ first-night celebrations following her Broadway debut. Fashion newspaper Womenswear Daily has confirmed that the pair have created a line of women’s and children’s clothing, with kiddie designs inspired by Holmes’ daughter, Suri.

The “premium-designer” collection promises to be characterised by “classic pieces”, said Marie Claire.
