Singapore's first baby of the new year, Zoe Wong, was born at Thomson Medical Centre.
The 2.7kg bundle of joy was a surprise for the family - dad Sam Wong, 40, mum Melissa Gan, 33, and sister Chloe, two - as she was delivered naturally and arrived at the stroke of 2010 while the family was watching a live telecast of the countdown in the delivery suite.
As the first baby of the year, she will be receiving gifts from the medical centre worth more than $600, including a stroller, playpen and hampers.
