MALAYSIAN actress-singer Angelica Lee Sin Jie’s nuptials with Hong Kong film director Oxide Pang Chun has put the latter’s daughter in the limelight.
China Press reported that the nine-year-old girl, Pang’s daughter with his former wife from Thailand, had been left with him since she was two.
Since then, Lee has been the one looking after the girl, who, after being sent for schooling in Malaysia when she was five, now lives with her new stepmother’s family in Kuala Lumpur.
Lee’s father Chiok San said the girl was being looked after by a relative as the couple was busy with their own entertainment careers.
“She is a good girl. She goes back to Hong Kong during school holidays. Angelica has bought a house in Kuala Lumpur and will stay there with the girl after the wedding,” he said.
The couple held a romantic wedding in Pangkor Laut last Saturday, which was also the first time the couple had revealed the identity of the girl to the media.
