COME April and ION Orchard will have one more outlet to make the young fashionista's shopping experience even more meaningful.
Leading international lifestyle group RSH Limited has added Stradivarius to its growing fashion portfolio and will launch a 4,000 sq ft store with a fashion extravaganza on April 1.
Stradivarius is part of the Spanish Inditex Group, whose four brands – Zara, Massimo Dutti, Pull and Bear, and Bershka – are already part of RSH's portfolio.
The latest acquisition gives RSH the exclusive rights to retail Stradivarius in South-east Asia, including the region's key markets of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
RSH Limited group chief operating officer Kesri Kapur tells tabla! that today, young and youthful women constitute a major segment of the consumer market.
"Fashion is a quintessential part of their lives and, with Stradivarius, Inditex has answered that call to fashion with a characteristic flair that is inimitable.
"Stradivarius is avant-garde urban fashion that is both ample in its offerings and accessible in its sheer affordability.
The brand embodies all its customers' aspirations for style, glamour and creativity, and is an apt expression of their zest for life and life's pleasures," he says.
CEO of Orchard Turn Developments Soon Su Lin is happy to have the Stradivarius outlet under ION Orchard's roof.
"Stradivarius' easy urban styles fit in perfectly with ION Orchard's positioning to offer brands with strong and wide appeal, and with good design, to our shoppers. Stradivarius' prominent location at B2 of ION Orchard will allow this new-to-market brand to enjoy high brand visibility and exposure in its first foray into Asia," says Ms Soon, whose firm manages ION Orchard.
Created in 1994 and acquired by the Inditex Group in 1999, Stradivarius is one of the latest brands in the Inditex Group's portfolio.
Today, the Stradivarius chain has 515 stores in 37 countries with sales exceeding
702 million euros (S$1.3 billion) last year.
