Wedding bells to ring again for Jamie Yeo
by Sia Ling Xin

TALK about bling.

On Jamie Yeo's left hand now sits a 1.5-carat princess-cut diamond ring.

The ESPN Star Sports host is engaged again, as her boyfriend of about a year – Britain-born Thorsten Nolte, 35 – popped the question on her 33rd birthday a little over a week ago.

He surprised her with an impromptu getaway to Tokyo, she said on her Stomp Star Blog.

There, they were visiting a shrine when he "reached for his right pocket and took out the loveliest, most sparkly ring I'd ever seen and asked me to marry him".

She wrote: "I said yes... Of course, I said yes. I would do anything for this guy."

Yeo, speaking to my paper in a phone interview yesterday, said that she hadn't been expecting Mr Nolte to propose on their getaway together.

"The proposal really surprised me. I can't say it's a complete shock, we've talked about it before, and I knew he would pop the question sooner or later... but I didn't expect it at the moment it happened," she said.

But he'd been plotting the engagement for awhile – he'd had the ring made, and had it flown in, from San Francisco.

Why all the way from there? my paper asked.

Yeo laughed over the phone, and posed the question to Mr Nolte, who was in the room with her as she took the interview.

"He wanted a ring with a tension setting, which is hard to find here," she explained.

A tension setting holds the gem in place by pressure, and the diamond on such a ring appears to be "floating" in its setting.

Yeo first met Mr Nolte, the chief executive officer of a digital communications agency, backstage at the Prodigy concert at Fort Canning Park in early February last year. When he asked her out, she agreed.

"I wasn't really looking for anyone, but he's really good-looking, and I noticed," she said.

"I thought, 'Why not? We can just hang out'. And here we are now."

Her parents love him, she added.

"He cooks a lot, and he's always cooking for them. They get along well," she said.

She is planning for the wedding to take place this year, she said. She wants a small and cosy affair at an intimate place, like The White Rabbit restaurant.

"I want just 100 guests or so, just the friends and relatives we're really close to," she said.

When asked if she has informed her former husband, DJ Glenn Ong, about her engagement, she said simply: "No, and there's no reason to."

She and Ong started dating in 2001, and got married three years later. They divorced in February last year, with Ong announcing their much-publicised split on his morning show.

Ong was previously married to DJ Kate Reyes for three years before a divorce in 2003. He is now seeing DJ Jean Danker.

On what she has learnt from her previous marriage, Yeo said: "Be honest with yourself. Ask yourself what it is you really want, and go for it."

1. Let's face it, her endless "chit-chat" about how "wonderful everything is" only refers to the reciprocating action of the AngMor's penis inside her vulva.

2. Women get older, and as a rough guide, the more sexually rampant a chick is early on in marriage, the greater the "falling of the cliff" regarding stopping servicing the man once "Aunty-Hood" creeps in.

3. Men get older and also pump out testosterone in such ample quantities when shagging, that even Ron Jeremy would have needed a break now and then.

Saying that the guy looks fairly savvy and tolerant of whiney chix, and I will say that the second marriages usually work for 10+ years in this situation...

She wanted AngMor, she got AngMor. Can be like the latest Prada accessory, the AngMor's penis. Go to .....

Celebrity couple Glenn Ong, Jamie Yeo call it quits
...The couple started dating in 2001 and was married in December 2004 in New Creation Church.

Prior to this, Ong was married to former Gold90FM DJ Kate Reyes. They divorced in 2003.

Looks like NCC doesn't care very much about their couples...Unlike CHC which even got the senior pastor to be involved when Jack Neo got into trouble...Or maybe CHC learnt from the failure of NCC so decided to wayang...

Anyway learning from hollywood, it may not be Jamie's last...so we can expect there will be more to come...

The "AngMor" worker and businessman factor in Singapore is guaranteed to pull in the chix at a crazy rate.

1. AngMor alpha-males here wear smart clothes and look "Ermengildo Zegna", which has a direct proportionality with how rich you're perceived. Add in car and Hey Presto...

2. AngMor tourists here wear a mixed-bag of "Outdoor Adventure" stuff, such as "**** Cheyney" shooting waistcoats, and have wife in close tow.

3. Locals are 80% Chinese and the thoroughbred DNA has pro's and cons, such as same size people *by-and-large*, whereas most AngMor here are Yao Ming stature - chix dig that stuff.

4. The local chix who have travelled West, that I know of, anecdotally suffer the same difficulty in choosing a mate in say UK - cannot see wood for trees - i.e. difficult .....

Ayup.

They do come in all shapes and sizes, TP.

Take a walk down George (the Sydney Street, not Mr. Clooney) and you'll see well-heeled studs in made-to-measure Brioni and E Zegna suits sporting slick facial hair, rugged boxer's builds, handmade leather shoes, and...

Whoops, my mistake, dear fellow forumites.

Thread's about Thirsty Nolte, not your's truly in Oz. :D

But seriously, you'll be surprised how many unkempt blubber boys there are to every Hugh Jackman-nesque lookalike. I'd say 10-to-1. Bald heads, Love handles. Sickly pale complexions. Baggy, ill-fitting suits. And for every Jen Hawkins we men drool over, there are just as many plain janes out there.

Just the way it is folks: gorgeous people are a rarity, and that's why they're idolized, lauded, and .....

Yeah I have to say he'd tick all the boxes if I was female which I'm not.

He looks like a handsome alpha-male "trader" but without the "Gordon Ghekko / Wall street" slimballiness.

However I would advise you darlin' that if venturing to Europe, you're goin' to see a vast range of AngMor, some of whom will shock you...

Mr Thirsty Nolte, ladies and gentlemen. The AngMor who some Singaporean ladies are using as a pin-up now they've torn down David Beckham.

I guess she's not as bad as the SPG of SPGs in the SPG hierarchy, and that's Annabel Chong.

Shagging one nice bloke hundreds of times as in what Jamie will do, and blog about, is surely nicer than shagging 100s of blokes once?

JY is just another 3rd rated so-called SPG actress. Not news worthy at all. I will switch channel once I see her annoying face on the tv screen and I am not alone as I know several people who do not like her. I guess viewership will go up when she goes out.

I think he is around 28 years old. Old chicken makes good soup, good for him.
And its pathetic for JY to call herself a TV presenter, she is just a sex pimpo on the ESPN Stupid Football show.

More like three-inch diameter.

Fourteen-inch length causes cervix issues.

A baby's head on giving birth to one is 10+ cm in diameter.

Her new guy probably has a 3-inch wide penis, yes, and she will be OK I am sure.
