Busty Christy Yow gives up nude poses for love

Love changes everything. Singapore-based Malaysian model, Christy Yow says she will not do any more raunchy photo shoots or movies in the future out of respect for her husband.

In fact, the 23-year-old Ipoh lass, who set tongues awagging with her 36C bustline and subsequently, the leading role as legendary stripper Rose Chan in the movie, The Charming Rose, plans to denounce her sex symbol career.

"If you ask me a year ago, the answer would be NO," Christy tells The Daily Chilli exclusively. "All my friends knows that I am not the marrying sort of girl, especially so when my career is at its peak. But somehow, he feels just right and most importantly, he is good to my parents."

And yes, no more topless or nude photo shoots for her, ala the ones that she did for FHM Singapore and F*** (Film, Fame & Frank) magazine.

Strangely enough, her man and his family are OK with her previous sexy photo spread.

"They are cool about the pictures," Christy explains. "In fact, they understand that the persona in print is far off from who I am and after meeting me and getting to know me - they love the real me."

So in love are they that the model-turned-actress and her Taiwanese hubby have registered their marriage in Singapore recently.

They are planning to hold their wedding reception sometime next year.

"He simply went down on his knees and proposed to me last December," she recaps. "It was very romantic."

The couple began their whirlwind romance at the end of last year after meeting each other at an acting class in Taipei.

"This is not an impulsive decision," Christy reiterates. "I had discussed this (at) length with my family members as well as my manager. They had given me their blessing."

The budding actress has since quit her role as Rose Chan, a decision she described as "heart-breaking".

"It will be a lie if I say I don't feel sad about letting it go," says Christy. "Eric Khoo (the movie director) is the most gracious person in the world. When I broke the news to him, instead of getting upset with me he hugged me and gave me his blessing. Like a concerned father he wanted to know more about this wonderful man I am going to give up everything for. He even gave me tips to a successful marriage."

But then quoting her manager, Terence Ang: "Sometimes success cannot replace the happiness of a lifetime."
