CHINESE actress Gong Li divorced her Singaporean husband Ooi Hoe Seong after 14 years of marriage, reported Sin Chew Daily.
An editor from China magazine Southern Metropolis Entertainment Weekly posted on her website that the superstar’s manager had confirmed the news.
Since the couple married in 1996, the media had been focusing on their marriage life and rumours of their marriage being on the rocks had been in circulation for some time.
It was still not known whether their divorce was due to little time spent together or rumours of an affair between Gong Li and Hollywood star John Cusack.
Gong Li rose to fame as a Chinese movie actress in movies like Red Sorghum and Raise The Red Lantern before venturing into Hollywood films such as Memoirs of a Geisha.
