2011 saw many high profile weddings of the rich and famous around the world.

 

Celebrities like singer Coco Lee, actress-singer Karen Mok and even our very own local songbird Stefanie Sun took the plunge this year in lavish wedding ceremonies.

 

Sonija Kwok, who married her China sweetheart Zhu Shaojie in October, recently announced to the Hong Kong media that she is more than three months pregnant.

 

This year also saw several royal weddings. Kate Middleton married Prince William in ceremony that was broadcasted and watched by millions of viewers in April, and then Charlene Wittstock married Albert II Prince of Monaco in July. 

 

Closer to home, Bhutan's King Wangchuck married Jetsun Pema, a student 10 years his junior, in a colourful ceremony.
