40-year-old Colombian actress Sofia Vergara beat out other young Hollywood actresses to be named the hottest female celebrity in the world, according to Askmen.com.

The brunette bombshell and star of US series Modern Family came out tops in the survey last year, ahead of model and Victoria's Secrets angel Miranda Kerr, actress Scarlett Johansson, Kim Kardashian and Rihanna.

Another Victoria's Secrets angel who made the list is Chinese model Liu Wen.

In 2009, Liu became the very first Chinese model to walk in the annual fashion show for the iconic lingerie brand.

Coming in at No. 34 is Sports Illustrated model Jessica Gomes. The 1.77m-tall model has a Singapore connection. Her mum, a nurse, is Singaporean Chinese. Her dad is Portugese.
