Cavalli's fans didn't disappoint him.
At the closing show for the AFF yesterday evening, you can almost smell the anticipation in the Tent, as guests came dressed in their Cavalli best - animal prints, lots of colour and bling all a tribute to the designer's love for flamboyant Italian luxe.
And there was more glitter and sequins on all that the designer touched, with his collection presenting that said animalistic sexy. Jackets, leggings, dresses in distressed animal prints, an extravagant feathered coat, fur-covered heels, harlequin dresses dripping in strings of crystals and sequins, a feathered dress that looked like field of soft, waving sea fans.
But perhaps less ostentatious were the Roman-inspired goddess dresses - sleek and streamlined in white with embellishments of beads and crystals, a kind of soft-spoken luxe.
Still, Cavalli showed why he is the go-to designers for Italian decadence.
