Gems, sequins and sparkles – Glitter is taking over this summer! Even Prada, the prescriber of trends, has gambled on glitter, incorporating it into several garments.

Disco and dazzle has made its comeback, perfect for parties or cocktail evenings.    

There is no holding back on gold with this lucky colour showering the work of every designer in several shades: from bronze to ingot.    

For more of a sensual or robotic look, silver is also a strong contender.    Nearer to grey, it offers a metallic glow, and for those evening occasions there are even more paste-gems and silver lame finishes.

As for length, the mermaid look is on top!

In little patches or embroidered all over, designers are attempting new things with glitter, in midnight blue, bright green or a vibrant yellow, but also in more discrete and toned down shades seen from Yves Saint Laurent, who opted for glowing simplicity.
