Have your shoe size measured by Asics
by Victoria Barker

SHOPPING for sneakers has never been more fun.

Japanese athletic-equipment giant Asics' latest Singapore store - also its biggest in Southeast Asia - has an exclusive feature that will ensure your running shoes fit perfectly.

Visitors to the Marina Square store, which opened last month, can get their feet scanned and measured by trained staff at the Unique Foot Analysis room.

Said an Asics spokesman: "The 2D Footscan measures your foot's width and length, and deduces the shoe that will fit you correctly.

"It also identifies any unique fore-foot shape, so our staff can advise you on which Asics shoes are suitable for you."

The new 1,600 sq ft store boasts quality footwear, sports apparel and accessories.

The Gel Noosa Tri 5 shoe for women, for example, is a triathlon shoe with bright glow-inthe- dark stripes.

It has a breathable mesh upper- layer with added ventilation holes in the quarter panels and asymmetrical lacing to enhance comfort and fit. Each pair of the shoes retails for $219.

Look out also for the Gel DS Skyspeed ($219), running shoes with a built-in system to ensure shock absorption.
