British actor Robert Pattinson reportedly ditched a scheduled press conference for his upcoming film Cosmopolis, amid speculation that it was probably due to the media glare after girlfriend and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart's confession of a fling with married director Rupert Sanders.
The Cosmopolis press junket was scheduled to take place in Los Angeles over the Aug 10 weekend, but the event is now scrapped, reported E! News.
However, Pattinson's publicist insisted he hasn't cancelled any of his commitments.
"Cosmopolis is a film that Robert is very proud of and looks forward to supporting," his representative said in a statement.
"No confirmed engagements have been cancelled. Any reports to the contrary are inaccurate."
There is no news if the David Cronenberg-directed movie will have any red carpet premieres.
