A total of 88 per cent of 106 respondents agree or strongly agree that it is important for Singaporeans to have children, found a survey conducted by government feedback portal Reach on Monday.
They felt so because there will not be enough original citizens left to form the majority if Singaporeans do not have children.
Reach conducted the poll to gather reactions to former prime minister Lee Kuan Yew's speech last Saturday on the same issue.
