KOTA BARU - Muslim women in southern Thailand are not happy with the latest survey by Durex, a condom producer, that Thai women rank as the world's second most unfaithful lovers.
The women, who claimed that they represented the Muslim group, said the survey, which stated that 59 per cent of Thai women admitted to infidelity, could not be accepted.
Sirinda Auhmud, a public relations officer of a private company, said Muslim women did not agree with the survey because it did not give the races of those involved.
"The figure made it look like all women in Thailand were unfaithful but actually not all of them cheat on their partners.
"Only a small number of Thai women do that," she said in an email to New Straits Times yesterday.
The survey of 29,000 women in 36 countries, which was the latest conducted by Durex on Aug 28, also names the women of Ghana as the world's most unfaithful, with 62 per cent of the women questioned admitting they often cheated on their boyfriends and husbands.
Malaysia was the third place with 39 per cent admitting their "wrongdoing".
In fourth and fifth place were Russia (33 per cent) and Singapore (19 per cent).
