Malaysia's Guang Ming Daily reported that Malaysian-born actress Michelle Yeoh had undergone artificial insemination but returned disappointed.
Yeoh, who is engaged to Ferrari motor-racing team boss Jean Todt, says she has accepted it as fate.
“Not that we do not want (children). I love children. Luckily, my family members have many children. I can still adopt if I cannot have my own child,” she said.
Attending an event in Taipei recently, Yeoh told reporters she first went through the fertility procedure six years ago. But each round was met with disappointment.
According to Hong Kong media reports, wedding bells will not be ringing for Yeoh and Todt anytime soon.
The couple have been together for eight years.
Yeoh says although Todt has proposed marriage more than once, she feels it is not the right time as the two of them are too busy at the moment
Yeoh expressed contentment in the present state of their relationship and sees no need to get married.
