Hong Kong actor Ekin Cheng, 46, has finally married fellow actress and long-time girlfriend, Yoyo Mung, 40.
The two reportedly wed in a top-secret ceremony held at a French restaurant in Tokyo on Monday.
According to Chinese media sources, guests were invited to "dinner", but no details about their nuptials were revealed until they arrived at the venue.
Apple daily reported that the wedding was held at Aimee Vibert, a restaurant with two Michelin stars.
One of the touching moments of the ceremony was when Cheng referred to Mung as his wife for the first time, and Cheng's close friends, actor Jerry Lamb and song-writer Chan Kwong Wing, called her "sister-in-law".
The couple were also in tears when they recited their vows.
Announcing the happy news on his micro-blog on Thursday, Cheng wrote: "We have entered a new phase in life, we are grateful. From now on we will no longer be lonely, thank you!"
The post was accompanied by a photo of a two bears with their intials, 'E' and 'Y' embroidered on them.
The couple have been together for seven years.
Oddly enough, Cheng's previous high-profile relationships with singer-actress Gigi Leung and actress Maggie Shiu also lasted seven years, but it looks like Mung has managed to "seal the deal" to offically become Mrs Cheng.
According to Hong Kong media reports, Shiu and Leung both extended their congratulations and well wishes to the couple upon hearing the news.
Update:
After news broke on Tuesday that Cheng had gotten married, Shiu reportedly used her microblog account for the first time just to send a congratulatory message to the couple.
The simple one-liner posted the same evening read, "Wishing them happiness".
According to Chinese news site people.com.cn, the message was reposted 60,000 times within a short span of time.
Fans of the popular actress also responded to the message, describing the post as "touching", with one netizen referring to Shiu as "the most perfect ex".
Cheng was widely rumoured to have broken up with Shiu for Gigi Leung.
Leung herself posted a congratulatory message on her microblog in the wee hours of Wednesday, but was criticised by netizens for plugging her latest album in the same post.
