Girls' Generation, Daniel Henney, Bryan Boy - these celebrities were just some of the stars that turned up and drew throngs of Singapore fans to the opening of a new Charles & Keith store; all there just for a chance to get a glimpse of their idols in the flesh.
The Singapore shoe and accessory brand Charles & Keith celebrated its Ngee Ann City store opening with a star-studded guest list and a runway show on August 23, 2013, proving just how wide its global reach has grown, since its humble beginnings in 1996.
The biggest international names in attendance at the Charles & Keith opening included Kim Hyoyeon, Seo Joo-hyun (Seohyun) and Kwon Yuri from popular Korean pop group Girls' Generation, actor model Daniel Henney, as well as fashion bloggers Bryan Boy, Han Huo Huo and Yoshiko Kris-Webb, and top Asian model Liu Wen.
Singapore stars Zoe Tay, Fann Wong and Singapore model Sheila Sim also graced the Charles & Keith store opening.
Fans started to crowd around the Charles & Keith Ngee Ann City store at 2pm, waiting patiently until they could start shrieking as the celebrities made their appearances at the store.
The newest boutique, which has a retail space of 170 sq metres, is the brand's 389th boutique across the world, including South Korea, Japan, China and the Philippines.
The Singapore brand Charles & Keith is now partly owned by French luxury giant Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH); L Capital Asia, a subsidiary of LVMH bought 20 per cent of Charles & Keith in 2011.
