SINGAPORE - This Clinique staple is beloved by so many that beauty circle insiders refer to it, quite blithely, by its acronym. Well, the DDML has been given a positive spin, both literally and otherwise-say hello to the DDML+.
Clinique's marketing team has wisely decided to retain the venerable 45-yrar-old lotion's familiar primrose hue and handy pump dispenser. What's been tweaked is the formula's moisture-boosting and skin barrier-protecting properties. Beauty brainiacs will appreciate the addition of hyaluronic acid, glycerin and urea, all of which are proven water-attracting superheroes.
Rounding off the league of extraordinary skin agents is Clinique's so-called Phytofix, a botanical blend of sunflower seed cake, barley and cucumber extracts which the brand says will soothe and ameliorate the redness of complexions stressed out by modern-day antagonisers like climate change and off-kilter sleeping cycles.
Ingredients aside, the DDML+ also passes the touch test, with a delightfully light, gelee-like consistency that doesn't feel like it's smothering your skin. We used it under our regular sunscreen and liquid foundation, and it appeared to rein in excess sebum throughout the day. Oh, and for those who have really oily miens, Clinique is still offering its DDMG-that's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel for you.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+, $28 for 50ml and $60 for 125ml, is available at all Clinique counters. For more information, visit www.clinique.com.sg.
