A: You have already answered your question. Since boots are cool and trendy, you obviously want others to pay attention when you wear them.

It's perfectly fine to funk up your outfit with a pair of knee-high boots. But do consider the occasion when you decide to wear your boots.

For a formal evening out, pair your boots with your favourite LBD. If you're preparing for a night of dancing and clubbing, don your pair of sexiest jeans with them and you're all ready.

But if you can really live without the extra attention, consider getting booties that come up to your ankles only.

And if you are Miss Practical personified, then wear your boots only on wet, rainy days when covering your feet are most essential, or slightly cooler days so you will not melt from the humidity and sun.

Just don't go shopping with them on a hot, sunny day when temperatures are prohibitively high.
