YOU may have heard the word 'sale' repeated ad infinitum for the past six months, but now get ready for the Great Singapore Sale (GSS) which kicked off officially yesterday. For a shot at the best buys, here's a quick rundown of which sales to make a beeline for.

Club 21 Bazaar

Fans of designer labels can rejoice - for the first time ever, Club 21 will be taking part in the Sale with its iconic Club 21 Bazaar.

The good news: Great buys are guaranteed as the Bazaar will feature spectacular discounts of 80 per cent on designer wear from brands such as Comme des Garcons, Donna Karan, Dries Van Noten, Balenciaga, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Armani Exchange (where shirts can be bought for as low as $30!).

And the bad: Expect to fight off a massive crowd to get what you want, as the Bazaar will definitely be a popular draw. But hey, all's fair in love and fashion.

# The Club 21 Bazaar takes place today from 10am to 8pm, and tomorrow from 10am to 6pm at the Pit Building (next to the Singapore Flyer). There are also complimentary shuttle services from the bus stop opposite The Adelphi (on Coleman Street) to the venue.

Quintessential

Bags and accessories shop Quintessential will be offering discounts of up to 80 per cent on selected items for this GSS.

Bags from Andrea Brueckner will be going at 80 per cent off while those from Katherine Kwei, Kooba, Jalda, Seril, Gustto and Hayden-Harnett will boast 50 per cent discounts.

As for the jewellery, expect discounts of 50 per cent from Noir and 30 per cent on items from Alexis Bittar and Djurdja Watson.

Better yet, there will be an extra 10 per cent discount on sale items today and tomorrow.

Prada & Miu Miu

Coinciding with the GSS is the end of season sale for Prada and Miu Miu. Starting on June 5, all Prada and Miu Miu stores will boast discounts of roughly 40 to 50 per cent, so watch out for them.
