Racy getaway secrets

It's not true that Asians don't get it when it comes to love and sex. A survey conducted by online boutique hotel expert, Mr & Mrs Smith, got some Asian and Australasian (Australian and New Zealand) respondents to share with them how holidays and weekend retreats feature in their love life. This is what they found.

Happy romancers

Asians are luckier in love it seems. Forty-one% of Asians said there was enough romance in their lives, while only 34% of Australasians shared that sentiment.

Perfect first date
Going out for casual drinks is still the activity of choice for the nerve-wracking first date. Interestingly, more Asians than Australasians are open to a sexy hotel stay to check out their potential partners. 22% of Asians chose this over a day at the beach or going to see the latest film.

Quick romantic rendezvous
Asians take their sexy weekends more seriously than Australasians. According to the survey 45% of Asians had dashed off for a romantic rendezvous four times or more in the past year, while 63% of Australasians had taken only two or less tantric time-outs in that same period.

One night only
Asians are still more conservative when it comes to one-night-stands. 41% of Asians had never had a one-night-stand while 72% of Australasians admitted to hooking up with a stranger.

Romantic gestures
The most meaningful and romantic gestures experienced by respondents were surprise vacations.
