Hong Kong actress Cecilia Cheung and pop star Gillian Chung were both tainted by the Edison Chen scandal back in 2008, but their fates have diverged.

While Cecilia's star is on the rise as she is now mum to two beautiful boys and has an adoring husband who stuck by her as her name was dragged through mud by the media, Gillian's seems to be getting the cold shoulder from the public and the media. Gillian, who was once part of popular Cantopop group, Twins, put her career on hold when the Edison Chen sex scandal broke.

Even now, as she attempts to make a comeback with the release of a single EP, and several movie appearances, her star has dimmed considerably. One report in China Daily said that there was no sign of Chen when she arrived in Hunan, China to promote her new movie, The Fantastic Water Babes.
