Hong Kong singer-actress Kelly Chen is three months pregnant via artificial insemination, Chinese news agencies reported.

Chen, who lost her twin daughters during a recent miscarriage in March, confirmed her expectancy with the media during an event on Thursday.

The 39-year-old, who is currently working on the film "All's Well, Ends Well 2012", has a two-year-old son, Chace, with businessman husband Alex Lau.

Chen said she does not know if she is expecting a boy or a girl, and declined to reveal the baby's due date.

Chen, however, will be taking every precaution for a safe delivery this time. To ensure she gets sufficient rest, Chen said she has turned down 20 to 30 performance requests and will minimise travelling by plane.
