SINGAPORE - Singapore songstress Stefanie Sun has confirmed that she is having a Dragon baby.
Speculation has been rife that the 34-year-old star is pregnant - news which she finally confirmed on the eve of her wedding anniversary today.
At 11.51am this morning, she posted on her Weibo micro-blog account that "Yes, you all guessed right! Yayhay!"
According to her manager, Sun is well but is experiencing changes to her food preferences and tastebuds.
She complains of a weird taste in her mouth, and loves eating oranges - up to three at one go, said her manager.
The singer tied the knot with Dutchman Nadim van der Ros, 35, on March 31 last year and held their customary Chinese wedding banquet on May 8.
There were rumours in Dec that she had her trademark mole at the corner of her right eyelid removed, so that it would not affect her chances of pregnancy.
But Sun has never hidden her desire to have children, calling it "the natural next step" when quizzed about it at the Singapore Hit Awards ceremony last Nov.
According to a Shin Min Daily News report on Monday, Sun's family have been very concerned over her well-being, as it is her first pregnancy.
They have asked her to rest and not do much around the house, leaving her husband to do most of the work.
The Chinese daily also reported that of the "four heavenly princesses" in Taiwan's music industry - Sun, Jolin Tsai, Elva Hsiao, and Fish Leong - Sun's personal life has been the most "fruitful".
The four had broken into the entertainment scene at around the same time.
While Tsai and Hsiao's tumultuous love life have been well-publicised in the media, both have yet to settle down.
Leong and her husband of two years, in the meantime, have no children yet.
