HONG KONG - Hong Kong actor-singer Leon Lai, 45 and his wife, model Gaile Lok, 32, have announced that they are splitting up.
According to a statement issued on Oct 3 by their management company, Paciwood Music and Entertainment Ltd, the couple decided to go their separate ways due to "different life philosophies".
It added that the pair have shared "many happy moments together and still care for each other".
In the statement, they also requested for "privacy during this difficult time, as they adjust to their new lives and focus on their work".
The Hong Kong "Heavenly King" and Lok married in 2008, after dating for three years.
Their 14-year age gap has often been cited by the media as a contributing factor to their troubled marriage.

Gaile will regret it later when she starts wanting to have some kids later in life......She is at that critical pivotel age of 30 already +/- a few years.....not that much time left
Based on coffee shop gossips plus photo proof, she was caught a few times clubbing behind his back while he was working overseas. She also mulitates herself. Leon has bought her properties and yacht to make her happy whenever she threathen him. Finally he wants kids she don't want so full stop. After all, she knew him at a very young age. People do change over time :D
