HONG KONG - Beyond frontman Paul Wong has revealed that he and long-time girlfriend, former actress Athena Chu, have tied the knot.

Wong was speaking to a group of reporters about his newborn baby when he made the revelation, Chinese news site tianjinwe.com reported.

When asked when Wong and Chu plan to hold their wedding ceremony, Wong said he and Chu have "already done the necessary", and held a banquet for family and close friends.

Wong also showed reporters a picture of their newborn, who is nicknamed "char siew pau".

The singer revealed they are seeking suggestions from family members with regard to the child's name.

Wong added that they will hold a 100th-day celebration for her, although her actual birthday is still a shrouded in secrecy.

Asked who the child resembles, Wong said based on feedback from friends and relatives, the child looks like him. But according to his wife, "it is not a good thing", he joked.

Wong also told reporters that Chu will only make a public appearance after she has "regained her figure".
