Home-grown actor Desmond Tan has been chosen as the new ambassador for Uniqlo in Singapore for this year.

The 27-year-old, who currently stars in 96°C Cafe on Channel 8, will front the brand's campaigns here with actress Rebecca Lim, 27. Lim was the face of the Japanese retailer's fall/winter 2011 and spring/summer 2012 campaigns for Singapore.

As ambassadors, they will star in various ads showcasing the brand's key items for each season. They will also make special appearances at major Uniqlo events throughout the year.

The spring/summer 2013 collection is available at all eight Uniqlo stores here, including 03-27 313@somerset, 01-15 Bugis+ and B2-38 Ion Orchard.

Prices range from $16.90 for a T-shirt to $69.90 for a bottom or a dress.
