Joanne Peh turned off by idea of Botox and plastic surgery on her face

Local actress Joanne Peh rejects the idea of having cosmetic surgery on the face as actors should have expressions and feelings.

According to a report in Lianhe Wanbao, Joanne recently replaced Fann Wong as the new ambassador of Bella Skin Care. This is also her first endorsement for skincare after 11 years in showbiz.

An advocate of natural beauty, the actress hopes to maintain tip-top condition for her skin through proper skincare routines and maintainence.

Speaking about Botox and plastic surgery, she said: "I don't want to go on that path. These artificial methods are of no help to us artistes. We need expressions and feelings."

Although many celebrities have gone under the knife to maintain their youthful looks, Joanne says the thought of trying the same has never crossed her mind.

"I do not like to have things on my face. I was frightened to death of injections and blood even as a kid. I try to avoid going to the clinic, hospital and doctor's as much as possible," she said.
