HERE are some highlights from a survey by the Association of Dating Agencies and Matchmakers Singapore:

33 per cent of singles polled feel that foreigners here present more dating opportunities and are open to dating them.

42 per cent sit on the fence but have not ruled out dating foreigners.

40 per cent are open to using a dating service or third-party agency to meet new people.

Reasons given for not having done so include concerns about price (20 per cent) and concerns about effectiveness of service (9 per cent).

52 per cent are clueless when it comes to which dating agency or service is suitable for their needs.

54 per cent would use an online search engine to research dating services before engaging them.
