Japan's top casual-wear brand, Uniqlo, held a private preview of its latest store for more than 420 invited guests, media and partners on Wednesday evening.
Boasting approximately 20,000 sqft, the Japanese retailer's two-storey outfit is housed at Bugis+, formerly known as Iluma.
The store will officially open to the public on Friday.
The preview event, hosted by Anita Kapoor, saw performances by local bands Jack and Rai and members of Sixx.
A lucky draw was held, where guests won vouchers and the top prize of a trip for two to visit any Uniqlo store in the world.
Local artistes Rui En, Joanne Peh, Qi Yiwu and brand ambassador Rebecca Lim were among the celebrities who lent their star power to the event.
Said Lim: "Uniqlo is about mixing and matching. It’s about self-expression. It’s about being myself and creating my own style".
The newest outlet will see more floor space dedicated to men's wear.
The first level stocks items for both men and women, while the second-storey is devoted entirely to men's clothing.
Along with the name change, the mall is currently undergoing extensive enhancement work. When we visited on Wednesday, most of the shops on the first two storeys were already opened.
Uniqlo's newest outlet is the brand's 7th store and the first street-level shop in Singapore.
UT collections such as the Metal Gear 25th anniversary tees, Barbie and special UT 10th anniversary tees will be launched in conjunction with the opening.
For the first three days (June 8 to June 10), the store will be open from 10am to 10pm. Its regular opening hours will be from 11am to 10pm.
