Each season during the fashion weeks we discover new styles of dresses that are just waiting to be snapped up by celebrities from all over and worn to all kinds of events.

The key word for this summer is ‘sexy!’ Figure hugging dresses, some slashed to the thigh, others revealing the back celebrate sensuality. The trend for interwoven banding was used by many designers to allow a subtle show of skin. Sultry siren dresses with crystals, gold and silver were presented whilst the bustier dress remained a popular choice for showing off the décolletage and bust.

Asymmetric shoulders, such as those seen at the Versace show were much admired.    

Two other styles are sure-fire hits for this summer: floaty tunics like modern-day djellabahs with a vestal feel in warm colours and scattered with prints; and draped and folded Grecian dresses in chiffon and silk for a princess look.

The designers used their fashion shows to put emphasis on luxurious details and play with volumes. The aim is to dress to impress!
