FASHION lovers will be spoilt for choice tomorrow afternoon at the "Green & Gorgeous Fashion Swap" held at 313@somerset.

The sophomore run of the event, which lets participants bring in their clothes and accessories and exchange them with each other, has seen a spike in response this year.

Since registration started on March 23, about 900 pieces of garments and accessories have been dropped off by some 200 people who signed up.

To cope with the bigger numbers and larger turnout, the organisers are extending the duration of the event held at the mall's Discovery Walk by two hours. The swap will now take place from 4pm to 8pm, instead of the original scheduled time of 5pm to 7pm.

Those who miss the pre-event registration phase, which closes today, can still head down tomorrow to take part in the exchange.

Items submitted for the fashion swap will be separated in three categories according to their estimated value. Items eligible for the exchange have to be in clean and good condition.

Participants will be given a tag for each accepted item, which can be used to "buy" other garments of the same type and category.

The "Green & Gorgeous Fashion Swap" is held in support of Singapore's Earth Hour.

From 8.30 to 10.30 pm, the lights at 313@somerset will be switched off and 60 glow-in-the-dark star cut outs hung up at the mall's Discovery Walk will provide shoppers with a one-of-a-kind illumination experience.
