Fans of Kelly Chen got a first look at her second son, Riley Lau, yesterday afternoon.
In an online blog entry announcing the child’s full month celebration, the Hong Kong singer-actress posted several photographs of the baby, who has been nicknamed “xiao long bao” (a traditional Chinese dumpling containing minced meat and soup).
The photos show mother and child posing for the camera, with appearances by elder brother, Chace, who is almost three years old.
Like his sibling, Chace also has a nickname, “har kow”, which is a prawn dumpling delicacy served in dim sum restaurants.
In the photos, Chen also showed off the proud parents' customary gift to friends and relatives in celebration of the baby turning one month old.
The gift packs resembled bamboo dim sum baskets with, fittingly, what appeared to be buns shaped like “xiao long baos” within.
Chen, 39, is married to businessman Alex Lau.
