SHARON Au's three-year relationship with her French beau is over.

The former local actress-host confirmed this in an interview with Lianhe Zaobao.

They met in 2008, when she was in Lyon, France, on an exchange programme.

Au, 37, told Zaobao: “The time we spent together in France was sweet. But after I left France, we had a long-distance relationship and didn’t see each other.

Technology cannot make up for this when we are physically sick or feeling down.”

He had planned on coming to Singapore, but didn’t.

Said Au: “For circumstantial reasons, and personal ones, we broke it off.”
