Designed by 28-year-old Indonesian Tex Saverio, Katniss' wedding gown is an eye-popping fashion fantasy.

The rising young designer, who previously dressed US pop diva Lady Gaga for a Harper's Bazaar photo shoot, also had his elaborate designs featured in the recently concluded 20th season of reality TV modelling series America's Next Top Model during the final runway challenge.

1. The wedding gown has a flame-inspired silver metallic corset and the skirt is full of ribbons, lace, organza and fabric peacock feathers.

2. It weighs about 14kg.

3. It took three people to help Lawrence put on the dress.

4. Saverio built a hoop inside the skirt to keep it light so that Lawrence could twirl in it.

5. Summerville hid a stool inside the gown so that Lawrence could sit on it between takes.
