Continuation of Dorothy's story...
Begged for another chance
With her parents’ support, Ms Chua filed for divorce, citing her ex-husband’s infidelity. He begged for forgiveness but she was firm about wanting out.
She said: “I wasn’t prepared to give him another chance. I couldn’t accept that I was paying all the bills when he was spending his money on another woman. “Fortunately, we have no children. Otherwise, I’d have to reconsider, to avoid traumatising them.” She said she empathises with Elin Nordegren, Woods’aggrieved wife.
Pointing out that it has been three months since news of his adultery with at least 10 women broke, Ms Chua asked why he had not spoken earlier. She said: “Tiger Woods should have just come clean there and then to minimise the fallout from his affairs.”
Ms Chua feels her situation is different as Ms Nordegren has two children.
She said: “I know she (Ms Nordegren) is hoping to save the marriage for their children’s sake. Since Woods has said his apology will come in the form of his behaviour over time, I hope he keeps his word.”
