It’s a romantic and rainy summer at Burberry. For Christopher Bailey, the artistic director, his “garden girls” are always decked out in coats, jackets or trenches, the signature pieces of the British label. In organic colours of earthy greys, taupes and greens, overcoats are lightweight for next summer in cotton, linen and silk. They are teamed with trousers or leggings, tulip skirts and gilded or lamé dresses –the coats, like fireflies, catching the light and warmth of the summer.
